**Users can set up or reset 2FA using a web browser or XT mobile apps. To demonstrate we will focus on
using a web browser.**
 

1. What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security method that requires two forms of identification to access data
and resources.
 
In XT, users can secure their accounts using:
- Google Authenticator
- SMS Code Verification
- Email Code Verification
 
These methods can be used for login, withdrawals, and changing security settings to enhance security for
your XT account.
 

2. How to Set Up Your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To set up 2FA on the XT website, follow these steps:
1. Log into your XT account.
2. Click on the "Profile" icon, then select "Security Center" from the dropdown menu or visit
https://www.xt.com/account/index.
3. Choose Two-factor Authentication and click on the "Connect" button.
For Google 2FA, scan the barcode or input the keywords manually to display the OTP code in the authenticator,
which refreshes every 30 seconds.
For SMS 2FA, input your phone number to receive the OTP code.
For Email 2FA, input your email address to receive the OTP code in your email inbox.
Enter the code on the XT.com page.
Complete any additional security verifications required by the system.
 

3. How to Change Your Two-Factor Authentication with the Old 2FA

You can change your Two-Factor Authentication. For security reasons, withdrawals or P2P selling from your
account will be disabled for 24 hours after you change the security verification.
 
To change your 2FA on the XT website:
1. If your current 2FA is still active, log in to http://www.xt.com, select "Security Center," and follow the
instructions to reset it. You can also click on this link directly: https://www.xt.com/account/index.
2. Click on the "Change" button.
3. Complete the security verification using codes from your registered email address, phone number, and/or
Google Authenticator, then click "Next". The Google Authenticator code changes every 30 seconds.
4. Bind a new 2FA to your account and input your new 6-digit GA code generator to confirm.

4. How to Reset Your Two-Factor Authentication without the Old 2FA

You can reset your Two-Factor Authentication, however withdrawals or P2P selling will be disabled for 24 hours
after reset for security reasons.
 
To reset 2FA on XT:
- If your current 2FA isn't functioning and you need to reset it, follow these steps depending on your situation:
 
- Method 1 (when you can log in to your account)
1. Log in to your XT account, click on "Personal Center" > "Security Center," select the 2FA option you want
to reset, and click "Change."
2. Click on the "Security verification not available?" button.
3. Select the unavailable security option and click "Confirm Reset."
4. Follow the prompts to enter new security verification information, then click "Confirm".
5. Upload your personal ID photo as instructed. Please be patient as you wait for XT to review your submission.

 
- Method 2 (when you can't receive verification information)
1. Enter your account information on the login page, then click "Security Verification Not Available?".
2. Follow the prompts to reset your 2FA and upload your ID photo for review.
 
- Method 3 (when you forgot your login password)
1. Click "Forgot Your Password?" on the login page.
2. Enter your email address or phone number and click "Next."
3. Click on the "Security Verification Not Available?" button on the current page.
4. Select the unavailable security option and click "Confirm". Follow the prompts to enter the new
security verification information and click "Start Reset."
5. Upload your personal handheld ID photo.
Note: Make sure the ID and handwritten note containing "XT+date+signature" are visible.
6. Wait for XT staff to review your submission. Feedback will be provided via email.
